Kitty ate slowly, her full attention, as she assumed was everyone else's, aimed at Dante and the man who sat with him. If any of them glanced her way, she would look toward Syrissin, likely for a reaction. Otherwise, she sat and attempted to listen in on what was going on.
She could have sworn he had said his name was Sparda.
"What do you think?" She directed her question at Syrissin, despite looking elsewhere. "Do you really think he is Sparda?"

Syrissin nodded immediately. "I was born and lived in a tower he sealed a thousand years ago. The tower pulsed with his energy. I would know it anywhere." Syrissin explained as calmly as the situation allowed him to. A thought entered his mind. If Sparda sealed the tower, only his blood and some ritual could activate it. Which means the other man, this Dante, either activated the tower or was involved in some way.And he had to know the reason it deactivated and crumbled. Which men's either A; the Dante could now where his father is B; he killed his father and more then likely is using him as a devil arm; or C; he knows who killed his father and maybe some information on who would have said devil arm. Excited angry and a whole flurry of emotions flew through him and he locked them down. Now was not the time. Perhaps he could speak with them both soon. "Kitty you mentioned Dante as if you knew him personally. Is he your friend?"

What a surprise, the father didn't pass on his etiquette to both of his sons, that was for sure. Dante's best way of complimenting her cooking was asking for more and downing it like it was his first meal in days. Though there were times she wouldn't doubt if that were a fact, the way a certain female debt collector came around. She wasn't sure if it was the shot she had in the kitchen or this meeting. Either way, she felt the heat in her cheeks as she returned the smile and reached for his hand.
"I had a feeling, I'm Reika. Owner and chef." She gave his hand a single good solid shake, an impression setter she used to gauge her usual clientele. Soft hands were new hunters, weak shakes were timid, etc. etc. "Thank you, I'm so glad you like it."

Sparda shook her hand in reply, grip firm, shake solid. His hands felt calloused, yet with an odd smoothness about them.
After returning the handshake, Sparda changed how he held Reika's hand. Curling his fingers around the palm of her hand, he brought her knuckles up to his face and kissed them gently. As he spoke, his eyes met hers, and the heat of his breath gently cascaded across her hand.
"It is truly a pleasure to meet you, Reika. You are a vision of beauty, grace, and independence. You are truly one of a kind."
He smiled ever so slightly before releasing her hand and settling back into his chair.

there's devils in the line, and demons in the power deceivers of the sun, the glass the hour*** A sigh left the pink plump lips of the bright eyed devil arm. She bounced busily about the kitchen, happy, humming even. While she couldn't really cook, she could clean, wait tables and bus tables all the same. She was working on cleaning up the dish pile when she sighed dreamily. She's been spending one hundred percent of her time practically glued to Vergil's hip, where she felt she...belonged. Living with him had, at first, felt a little scary, and yet she could never pull herself away from his electricity, and he didn't seem to mind hers. Though, since the first time he'd made her change, he'd not touched her again, though she strangely felt herself wishing he would. Becoming a sword was terrifying, but somehow....it was less scary if it was him....it was...right. She smiled at the soap running off the plate in her hand and wiped it over once more with the sponge, eyes dreamy. His white hair, the stern and unsmiling lines of his jaw and mouth..his narrowed blue eyes that sliced through her being, settling somewhere inside her. It made her giddy. A feeling that bubble in her stomach up through her chest. It spread to her throat, and she frowned slightly. "Wha- Ngh!!" She dropped the plate into the water, looking at her hands as static sparks danced across her skin. She felt her eyes brimming with tears, fearful of what might happen, the pain that might grip her as it had that day in her room. What now? What was going on? She tried to call out, but all that came was a hoarse and broken gasp. She felt like she had to turn around. This....no...something was here causing this. Something....Vergil? It felt like him...almost...but it wasn't... "Hahh...: She panted, the growled, hunched over and hugging herself. She'd get control of this, She couldn't go around having this sort of reaction all the time to anyone with the blood of Sparda. Must be Dante...but then, she didn't start sparking without physical touch. What on earth? She peeked through the window, sure enough, there was Dante...but who...was that with him? Same blue eyes, same white hair....huh... She stepped deeper into the kitchen blue sparks unnoticeable, but she could feel them gliding over her skin in invisible currents. She found herself standing there. Who was he? And why was this happening to her? Her brown eyes were wide as she tried to breath, hand on her chest. His energy simply poured into the air somehow, it was thick and it wrapped around her. She cried out and her form flickered to something akin to a monster. The lights in the kitchen flickered and went out. They came back on slowly and the girl was revealed to be hunched over the counter, form vibrating, but human. "What's...happening....to me....?" She grunted, trying to stay on her feet. She felt weak in the knees, much like she did around Vergil and his brother, but far more so now. Suddenly that energy seemed to lock onto something inside her and she felt better. Curiously, she went to the window of the kitchen again and stared shyly, then looked down at her hands, the vibrations had stopped....she gasped and dropped her head suddenly, red as a pepperoni, had the stranger noticed her? She thought she had seen the ice blue stare fall upon her for only a moment. Was he the reason for her reaction? Or it's sudden calm? All she knew now was that her heart was beating like a rabbit's and her face was hot. Just...who... was he? ** and some mad prince or doctor throwing switches in the tower

Engrossed in his food he tried so hard to ignore the two by him, it was one thing for his father to come back, it was another entirely for him to steal the show like this. He had a brother that did that already. It got just too hard to bear, her freaking blushing like a teenager. Then, mid-bite, he watched his father hold her hand to his face and lay down compliments like a bed of freaking roses. He wasn't quite sure why it struck a nerve the way she was behaving all bashful, maybe because she had never been that wy with him. He was not at all used to this side of her, and he did not like it. Setting down the slice he hadn't bitten into yet, he made a point to set his hands down on the table loud enough to get their attention.
"That is quite enough of that, thank you." he gave his father a glare, though before he could get out another word there was a surge of demonic energy, then the power flickered. He stood from his seat, taking a quick stock of the hunters in the room pulling weapons. With the attacks recently, they couldn't be sure that they were even safe here. They were all ready to defend themselves. This was bad, all it would take was one shaky trigger finger and this place would more resemble swiss cheese. The lights came back on, everyone holding their breaths to see what would happen next.

Nearly dropping the tray again, she was absolutely beside herself. Red faced she pulled her hand back and was about to respond when Dante spoke up, his hands hitting the table almost making her jump. She shot him a hard glare, ready to tell him off when she felt it along with everyone else. However, she was the one that HEARD it, not just felt it a woman's voice just before the surge. Muttering her friend's name Reika didn't wait for the return of the lights to head through the swinging doors to find Yamiko as flush as she had been a moment ago, and out of breath.
"What happened?" she set her hand on the young lady's shoulder, unsure how else to console her, "are you alright? I thought your forms were only released by Vergil touching you?" She offered her an unopened bottle of water from a nearby case. Thinking on what even she had just said, she stopped for a moment and looked out the window as well, looking for the third party that might actually be partially responsible. That had just been throwing compliments at her. If it was Sparda being here that caused, whatever that was, she would need to keep them separated.
"Figures this would happen on a bid night," With a chuckle she turned back to Yamiko, "You wait here, let me see if I can defuse everyone." Walking out of the swinging doors the room's eyes were on her as she explained it was just an energy surge that threw the circuit breaker. most took the explanation, others looked as though they would leave it alone for now. With a heavy sigh, she silently thanked whatever deity was out there for her patrons' trust.

Sparda, for the most part, ignored the glare from his son, although the behavior did tell him something - he'd struck a nerve. As the lights went out, Sparda's eyes locked onto the source - regardless of distance or obstacles between, he could see a faintly glowing aura with an almost identical signature to that of Yamato, moving back and forth in the kitchen. Curious.
His eyes returned to Reika once she returned. She explained that it had been a power surge. His eyes fell again to Dante, whose eyes were on the crowd rather than the back room, where the other patrons had been focusing.
He remained seated and relaxed, although Sparda fully intended to ask the two about this after the others were gone. He kept glancing back toward the kitchen from time to time, keeping tabs on the aura as it moved about.

Calling her bullshit Dante shook his head at her declaration of the issue. He could tell when she was lying for the sake of someone else. Blue eyes scanned the room once more gauging the reactions, how many actually settled in their seats and how many kept their eyes on that side of the room. It had to be an issue with Yamiko, she was working tonight as far as he remembered. He glanced at his father, a curiosity struck, if he and the original Yamato being so close was what triggered a reaction in her. Leaning across the table he instructed his father to give him five minutes, then follow into the kitchen. He took his leave going through the doors after Reika.
"What do you remember?" He looked at Yamiko, in human form, and nothing seemed to be physically wrong. But who was he to say, he was most definitely NOT an expert on how devil arms behaved when in human form, or how to tell when they were ill. "Exactly what happened?" He leaned against the counter across from the girls not wanting to get too close and trigger another episode himself.

there's devils in the line, and demons in the power deceivers of the sun, the glass, the hour*** Of course, her....family? Came running. Perhaps they were like family now, Reika, the protective big sister, and Dante, the mysterious older step brother. While Reika's concern was met with raised hands, "Ah! Er..I think I'm okay now..." Dante's inquiry had her holding her arm and explaining further. "I don't know. I was fine, just washing dishes and then it felt like....like someone was touching me. Not directly, but like...energy was all over me, the same blue sparks from the first time we met were everywhere. It got really strong, I couldn't breath, and then I was fine. But it's not coming from you, or Vergil. Something else. I can still feel it even..." She rubbed her shoulders, as if to stop the buzzing in her core. "I'm not going to change I don't think, not unless it actually touches me....Um...Who's that man with you? I think....I think it's him." The girl had no idea that she'd transformed into anything monstrous, it had happened too quickly for her to notice, so her words meant her transformation into a sword. She was very aware the red clad demon was keeping his distance, but it didn't seem to affect her odd feeling. It wasn't Dante after all. Suddenly her eyes grew round, "Is Yamato nearby? You know... the Yamato?" ** and some mad prince or doctor throwing switches in the tower

Narrowing her eyes she glanced again through the window. If it was Sparda and Yamato's presences that were affecting her, she couldn't stay. Who knows what would happen if she transformed again with all of the hunters here on edge.
"Yami, let me take you home," She took a step toward the girl she had become friends with, holding out her hand, "It's not safe here either way. Let's go, let you rest." LEading the way she pulled out her keys from her jean pocket and headed for the back door.
"I'll be back, after I drop her off." She nodded to Dante as they left. "Don't let it get crazy while I'm gone."

Kitty frowned slightly. "Well, I wouldn't say we're friends. We're more acquaintances. I see him in here on Bidding nights, and I don't ever really talk to him. He keeps to himself and to Reika."
The power went out and her eyes snapped to the kitchen. The tension in the room was so thick, she could have cut it with a knife...
She saw Dante rise from his seat, and heard Reika's explanation of events. She averted her gaze when Dante looked their way, but kept her eyes on the people around them, occasionally looking to the kitchen. She was afraid that maybe, just maybe, he could see through her disguise if he looked her in the eyes with his piercing blue glare, despite how illogical that sounded in her head. All the same, with the tension in the room she didn't want to add to it by revealing her true form in a room of fellow hunters.
She wondered if the breaker box was in the closet of everything. She shuddered at the thought. However... What was that feeling just before the lights cut?
Her disguise began to falter as anxiety took the better of her. She couldn't hear Golem's warnings. She couldn't hear Crymaerix, the smartassed pocketwatch, laughing at her inner turmoil. All she could focus on was the fact that she was in a room full of tense hunters - rightfully so, since others had been winding up dead in horrible ways - and that she wasn't quite a normal hunter herself.

Syrissin nodded and began to eat when he felt a thrumming of energy. Quickly he locked his energy before it'll disable him and cause a forced trigger. Years of self control hammered into place as he felt his body threaten shift but it remained locked.
Releasing a shaky breath he could taste the tension and near panic beginning to ebb off of his friend. He flicked her in the forehead and spoke lowly and calmly. Letting his Incubian heritage flow from his words he laced it with a subtle mesmer hoping it will work.
"Calm kitten. Panic will only make it worse. You're ok."

Five minutes to the second later, Sparda made his way into the kitchen, ignoring the glances of the patrons that had been watching him since he arrived.
"Is everything okay? Might I assist with anything?"
He smiled gently, stepping fully into the room.

Nodding in response to Reika, he stayed leaning on the counter. It was so freaking obvious, he wasn't sure why he didn't think that it would happen. Or rather, he didn't think about even the possibility. Maybe he had just assumed that she would only ever respond properly to Vergil.
Right on time his father came through the door, and he found himself a little glad that Reika had left after the drama out there, he didn't want to think about it. Turning he took a deep breath, before explaining the situation. Who Yamiko was, what she was, how she was, and why. He was curious though, if Sparda had been in Fortuna all this time, how did he not know at least a little?
Matching blue eyes snapped up, puzzled, "Why didn't you say anything when I was in Fortuna those years ago? If you've been around how did you not know? why didn't you show yourself then?" He tried to keep the angry snap out of his tone, though he was sure he didn't catch it all. Staring at the grate on the floor in front of him, with a sigh he let his head fall. Taking a moment prior to pushing off of the counter, "I need to go out there and talk to people, before they get rowdy. though they might anyway without Reika here to keep them in line."
