In the alley beside the Italia 'n' Ice Cream, a violet bubble formed. Kitty stepped through, looking as though she had just woken up not long ago. She stretched, stepping forward, suppressing her energy and taking on her human form.
Taking a few more steps forward, she turned to wait for Syrissin to follow her. She glanced over into the diner, smiling slightly. Seeing the people bustling about always brought a grin to her lips. Things were as they should be here.

Stepping out of the portal Syrissin felt unsure. Yes he spent a lot of time around humans but those were work related, or he had something on his mind. Now here he was entering a building surrounded by hunters. Sighing as he repressed his energy and his nerves he followed Kitty. "This looks like a rather pleasant place," the incubus spoke after peering inside.

"Best Italian food in town," Kitty smiled. "It's also a good place to pick up work, if you're looking."
The front door chimed as she guided her new friend inside. She grinned and nodded at the familiar staff, taking a seat at a booth that was away from the door, had a seat against the wall, and offered good visibility to the rest of the room and the outside.
It wasn't long until there were menus in front of them. Kitty peeked at Syrissin from over the top of the menu, attempting to gauge his reaction.

Syrissin posture was relaxed but a keen eye could see the tension in his form as his eyes ran over the delectable menu. All of it sounded delicious. He placed his order a chicken marsala with an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, and water to dtink. "So tel me a bit about yourself," Syrissin said kindly.

A day off, what was that? Wasn't sure if she'd had one recently. yet again here she was. At least they were fully staffed prior to the weekly Hunters' Bid. Speaking of Reika had been running dishes when she noticed a familiar face in a booth in the corner. Their plates were already finished so she arranged them on a tray and headed over, giving them her 'customer service' smile at first.
"your meals, caution, hot plates." she set the chicken in front of the gentleman, and kitty's in front of her along with drink refills, "So, what brings you out tonight? And who is your companion?" She smile genuinely to kitty then eyed him, tray now tucked under her arm now tat it was empty.

"Well... Hmm. Where to start?" The feline glanced over her menu, deciding on and ordering her usual - lasagna with a coke. "What would you like to know?"
As Reika came over with the meals, she smiled warmly. "This is Syrissin," she replied to the question. "He's a new friend of mine. I met him on a protection job not too long ago, and I thought I'd show him where to get the best food in town and the best leads on jobs if he's ever looking."
She grinned, looking between the two.

Syrissin was about to reply when a young woman walked up and gave them their meals. Ruby irises quickly took in her demeanor and Syrissin quickly came to a conclusion. She wasn't a hundreds however she could more then likely handle herself if she was staff here. Hunters tend to get rowdy at times she'd have to at least be able to deck someone capable of taking down a demon.
"The name is Syrissin Soncerberos. Met Kitty at a job and she mentioned good food and a place for information. It's living up to the hype from what I can smell and see. A pleasure to meet you." The dual timbre in his voice was subtle as he spoke careful not reveal his nature in a place where he may be a target. He wasn't lying though. The food smelled amazing.

With a nod, she acknowledged the young man, deciding to leave the tutoring to kitty as far as the proceedings later that evening.
"You as well. I'm Reika, the owner." She smiled offering her hand in greeting to him. "We have a plenty of time still before the Bidding, so take your time and enjoy." She took a moment to scan the room. "There are a handful of other hunters already here so don't be surprised if you're not the last still waiting." With another nod she moved off to the next table collecting dishes to take back to the kitchen. She did have to say it was nice to not have to deal with all of the work herself.

It was the last thing he EVER wanted to see, his father's ass, so the son went ahead. He had left a note before he'd left for the diner, indicating where to find him and more importantly where to find clothes to wear. It would do him good to have some time to think to himself in the cool air on his way the few blocks over. The small bell above the door chimed his entrance, and it seemed rather full tonight. Rather than take up a whole table or booth during the dinner rush Dante made a b-line to one of the smaller two seater tables against the wall. A lovely young lady came to take his order, young and blushing, reading her name tag he asked Luci for two waters and pints, also the next ready pizza sans olives. He sat back taking a scan of the patrons.
There were already a few hunters in the building, including that new friend he and Reika had made some time back. He couldn't remember her name. Speaking of, he hadn't seen Reika walking the floor this evening. It almost felt like he was in the wrong restaurant, eventually he did see her though, on the other side of the diner bussing tables. Luci brought the drinks and pizza before too long, though he was hungry as hell, he decided to wait for the guest of honor before digging in. That wouldn't keep him from downing this pint though.

The elder devil took his time getting clean. He washed for what felt like an eternity. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he toweled his mop of hair, letting it fall where it may. Having obtained a straight-edged razor on the way over, Sparda shaved the last remnants of the "old man disguise" off of his face.
He splashed water onto his face, glancing into the mirror. He sighed, rinsing the hair down the drain and moving into the next room. He found Dante's note, found clothes that fit, and started toward the diner in a pair of blue jeans, a pair of boots, and a purple button down hidden and likely forgotten in the back of Dante's closet.
The bell chimed lightly as Sparda entered, ducking his head through the frame. He joined his son at the two seater table, ignoring the sudden hush among the ever-growing crowd of regulars that happened to notice him pass by, smelling faintly of aftershave.

While Reika and Syrissin talked, Kitty nibbled at her food. In her suppressed form, she kept her eyes, ears, and what remained functioning of her senses, alert.
She was just about to start explaining the Bidding process when the door chimed and Golem whispered that she should take heed. A glance found Dante waking by, her eyes watching him curiously. He seemed almost lost in thought. She shook off the feeling, before explaining to Syrissin how the bidding works.
"Bidding is essentially reputation based. Those who have the best and baddest rep with the other hunters gets to pick first, and so on down to the newcomers. Red folders are for Dante. Black folders are S-class hunts."
The door chimed again and a shiver went up her spine. Golem struggled to find the words for the man looking like a slightly taller Dante in a violet button up and black jeans that strolled by. Kitty's eyes drifted to him, former train of thought gone. Others were noticing as well, as an eerie hush came over the otherwise bustling restaurant.

Syrissin nodded in understanding. Reputation based made sense. After all who would be willing to pay an unknown who had no track record. He noted the mention of Dante but before he could ask his eyes were drawn to the man entering the establishment. Garbed in res tall and definitely had a subconscious aura of danger about him. He immediately realized this man could pose a danger if crossed. Before he could recover his instinctive and honed alarm bells went off as another man entered. The man was poised and walked with a reality the exuded power. Syrissin's mind flew with doubt disbelief but also denial. He'd lived in Temen-Ni-Gru for centuries and knew. This was Sparda. He'd felt the blades power thrumming in the tower and this man held the same signature.
His control slipped for heart beat and a minute amount of his demonic energy pulsed before he could reign back his control.
"Holy... He should be dead," his voice trembled in slight awe with a hint of fear.

One last trip back and forth to the dishwasher and she sent the last two youngest of her employees home. The last few people eating would be easy to clean up after and she knew everyone entering from here out would only order drinks. Settling behind the counter she noted Dante as she started a drink tray to make the rounds. Though he had someone with him tonight. This was new, it wasn't his brother, but there was an excessively powerful aura around him. She handed the drinks already ordered over the bar and headed to their table.
"Good evening gentlemen, how's the pizza?" She gave her friend a grin before getting a good look at this newcomer. That's when she nearly dropped the tray from under her arm. Catching it she came back up, "And who is this new face, Dante?" She couldn't stop staring. He had to be related, it wasn't a new face at all. The resemblance was uncanny, but Dante almost never talked about his family unless it was Vergil. And he always used past tense for his father. So was this actually THE Sparda? She looked him up and down, noting that he fit into one of the few pairs of jeans Dante owned very well. No matter how many times you washed them that gunpowder scent was going nowhere.

Still nursing his drink he eyed the clientele as his father entered. Guess the cat was out of the bag, it had grown so quiet for that moment you could hear his boot-steps. As he sat down the room slowly returned to its previous noise level.
"Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance." He took another scan of what he could see of the diner, decided he did not like sitting in this corner, bad visibility. "pizza and beer, probably not the best welcome home dinner, but..." he let the comment fall, taking the closest slice of pizza onto the platter in front of him. It wasn't long before trusty Reika found her way to them. And as customary at every eatery around the world, his mouth was full when she asked how the food was.
He could feel her gaze himself, and she wasn't even looking at him. No, arguably his best friend was giving his father the once over and staring, blatantly. And she had the gall to ask who he was, as if it wasn't. cheese grater to the face, obvious. He didn't even know what to say, so he didn't, and shoved another piece of the gloriously cheesy pie into his face.

As Sparda passed the two-seater booth on his way to sit with his son, he felt the young demon's slip of control, and the strangely intense stare of his bright-eyed, female companion. Filing the information into the back of his mind, the elder devil donned a smile as he sat down, his full attention on Dante.
His smile turned into a sheepish grin, and Sparda couldn't help but scratch an itch on the back of his head when Dante mentioned his entrance. "I ehm." He paused. "Well, I suppose I can't very well be inconspicuous with the family resemblance."
When Dante mentioned that pizza and beer weren't exactly the best welcome home dinner. His icy blue eyes echoed the honest smile as it returned to his face. "Thank you all the same." He took a slice of the pizza, eating it slowly to savor the taste.
Sparda's eyebrows raised as Reika came over to say hello. He thought he saw Dante slip down into his chair when the waitress came over, almost dropped her tray, and asked who he was with an obvious stare.
Beaming, Sparda extended his hand. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance, miss. I am Sparda, Dante and Vergil's father." He grinned. "Please pass my complements to the chef. This pizza is amazing!"
